True Taste Awards 2009-2010 
 

The awards ceremony, regarded as the 'Oscars' of the Welsh food industry, will be held on 19 November 2009 and, for the very first time it will take place in Abergavenny, host to one of the most popular food festivals in Wales.

 
 Capel Newydd Cheese which is made by The Blaenafon Cheddar Company is infused with our golden Elderflower Cordial which won 2nd place in the SPECIALITY CHEESE CLASSES (Hard Cheese, Any Variety that contains Additives) at the Royal Welsh Show 2009 Awards.

The Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Andrew will all attend the ceremony at the South Hook LNG plant, alongside the ruler of Qatar and two of his family on the 12th May 2009 where they will enjoy our Elderflower Spritz and Higgon's Well Pembrokeshire Spring Water. 

 
 The Blaenafon Cheddar Company is now using our Golden Elderflower Cordial in their Award Winning Capel Newydd(New Chapel) Cheese.

Capel Newydd (New Chapel). White wine and elderflower provide the bouquet for the gentle flavour of this cheddar. Combined with a hint of garlic and lemon thyme. The cheese is sealed in a rich green wax.
